To Our Patients:
Due to concerns regarding the safety of Fleets Phosphosoda,®this product is no longer available for use in bowel preparation prior to a colonoscopy or other surgical procedures. There have been reported cases of renal (kidney) damage following the use of this medication.
Our office has been aware of these reports and we discontinued the use of Fleets Phosphosoda® when we first became aware of the potential for problems.
There are other reliable methods of bowel preparation currently available.
